How to split a PDF
Three ways to take a document apart, depending on what you need.
Choose your mode
- Extract page range — type something like
1-3, 5, 8-10and get one new PDF containing just those pages, in that order. Tip: because pages come out in the order you type them, this mode can also reorder a document (e.g.9-10, 1-8moves the ending to the front, and10-1reverses a document). - Every page as a separate file — each page becomes its own PDF, delivered together in a ZIP.
- Split every N pages — cuts the document into equal chunks, useful when an upload limit forces you to send a large file in parts.
Steps
- Open the Split tab and add one PDF.
- Pick a mode and fill in the range or chunk size.
- Click the button. A PDF or ZIP downloads automatically.
Good to know
- The original file stays untouched; every split produces new files.
- Everything runs in your browser — nothing is uploaded.
